How does gmx email make money - Stock market terms correction

It looks like it doesn't provide the ads of gmail and the convoluted way that gmail archives threads. Anyway, has anybody signed up for this?

If so, what's the catch I've one for a while now. Not sure how they make money from it.

It could be a sister project of something more bigger and profitable. As it is still only beta it can be slow at times but it is good.

One thing to remember it uses pop-ups to log in and out. These do not contain advertising it is just the way the login and out process was designed.
